Lately, I’ve been feeling stuck energetically and in turn creatively.

It actually has felt sticky… like walking through tar. Quite different than ice skating in the creative flow.

Starting (or restarting) any action can be difficult as the weight of resistance pushes or pulls against us. Yet, by taking one small step we start to build moment-to-moment momentum moving us out of the tar and onto the ice. This momentum (or inertia) bleeds into all areas of our life because we are the common denominator in all areas of our life.

Stagnant energy causes sickness.

Traffic jams suck.

Water flows.

Nature is designed to move.

So on this Taurus New Moon, I’m committing to publishing one piece of writing every day. Sundays, holidays/holydays, sick days… all the days. Who knows what this will turn into or where this will go, but getting started is what’s important at this moment… it’s also a lot easier to keep commitments with ourselves when we share with others about the commitment we’ve made.

This is me lacing up my ice skates and getting nature’s creative energy moving again.

Ironically, written from The Tarheel State of NC.
